Outcome of Primigravida with Unengaged Fetal Head at Term or Onset of Labour

Objective: To investigate the duration and course of labour, need for intervention feto-maternal outcome in a primigravida with an unengaged fetal head at term labour.
 Study Design: Prospective longitudinal study.
 Place Duration Study: Department Obstetrics Gynaecology, Pak Emirates Military Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Jun 2018 to Oct 2019.
 Methodology: This study was carried out on 150 women labour. Informed consent, detailed history examination were made along ultra-sonographic pelvic assessment.
 Results: Deflexed frequent cause 49(32.67%), cephalopelvic disproportion 24(16%), loop cord around theneck 8(5.34%), however, no found 54(36%) head. Ninety three patients (62%)continued spontaneous while rest had be induced. Vaginal deliveries 100(66.67%), 50(33.34%) delivered via Lower Segment Caesarean Section. Out 57patients who received induction 25(43.86%) vaginal deliveries, 32(56.14%) underwent Five (3.34%) went into postpartum haemorrhage. Grade 3 perineal tears seen 3(2%) patients, one wound infection. APGAR score ten minutes between 7 115(76.67%) neonates.
 Conclusion: In onset labour gestation, delivery is possible watchful expectancy appropriate intervention. However, there ensure that all inductions are strongly indicated.
